Very interesting take Francis: the Government didn’t make us do anything, they just gave the people the rope and encouraged them to hang themselves.

Certainly, I’ve felt all along that on some metaphysical level Covid was some sort of test that the majority failed.

And your thesis nicely explains the otherwise inexplicable video of Chris Whitty saying how harmless Covid was. For a long time I thought, ‘How did that slip through?’

But it’s obvious now. It was all part of the method.

Could part of the problem be: a lot of people are so much more concerned with social status rather than any kind of intellectual honesty… !?!

I actually have a problem with this analogy, as God states "for when you eat from it you will certainly die", this is a lie. The serpent then proceeds to tell Eve the truth. During the whole debacle of 2020 we were not told the truth and were lied to continuously throughout it. Unless you are claiming the Governments of the world are God in this analogy?!

No, but do we not have eternal life?

Not in this physical realm, in the way that the word 'life' is commonly understood.

There's a great illustration of this notion of ‘choice’ in Terence Malick's wonderful movie, A Hidden Life.

Based on a true story, it tells the story of Franz Jägerstätter, an Austrian farmer during the Second World War who refused to swear an oath of allegiance to Hitler, even though this was a capital offence.

For this he was persecuted and eventually he ended up in prison in Berlin awaiting execution.

And even though he had a beautiful wife and three beautiful daughters, he just couldn’t bring himself to do what he considered to be an evil act.

Then on the eve of the execution, a German lawyer turned up with a piece of paper telling him if he signed it, if he recanted, he would be set free.

‘They are just words,’ said the lawyer, ‘you don't have to mean them in your heart. You just sign here, and you will be free.’

And Franz Jägerstätter standing there with fetters on his wrist, said, ‘I am free.’

The next day, they executed him.

Nice story of integrity but I question a lot of what we are told about such things.

I don’t mind if the story has been embellished. It’s a movie. But there is no doubt that countless brave souls down the centuries have—when the tyrant demanded they say 2 + 2 = 5 or face death—chosen death.
