Very sad and dark situation, the law and the state had no business interfering in their lives. Who better to protect that young man than his mother who represents his best interest and needs. Certainly not the archaic laws or the judge who is so dismissive of this mother's loving commitment to her son, I find the situation sickening, twisted and threatening to family life.
A mother should always know best.
