I think it's fair to wonder if all of this, from Bob's tribute to Ed, to the responses to your scepticism, to Jake and Jerm, and now Charles Malet (recent guest on the Delingpod), is only intended to waste your time and demoralise you. Malet's gaslighting replies to you reek of sneering contempt, like he's challenging you to take them to court, which he knows you won't do because ultimately there's no point.
In my humble opinion, as someone who only recently became aware of the excellent work that you, Leo, Miri and Sarah have been doing, these people are demonstrating again and again that their allegiances have nothing to do with some Awake/Fake Awake dichotomy, and everything to do with a bunch of jolly nice chums defending each other's obnoxious behaviour. They're not nice, they never have been, and they think of you as someone whose proper place is holding a mic for them. You are much better than them
All I can say for sure, as an impartial observer with no prior allegiances, is that they're behaving very unpleasantly towards you. I don't have any more information than you do (less in fact, since you know them much better than I do and you've been in various private groups that I haven't) so I would only be speculating as to why that is, but this whole effort to discredit you started after you started debunking Lucy Connolly and historical psy ops like Dunblane, Hungerford, Hillsborough, Bulger and Betts.
They need to keep the Lucy Connolly story credible amongst right-leaning circles because it perpetuates the narrative that their speech is being policed, when in reality it's real left wing, anti imperialist and anti Zionist speech that gets people arrested, harassed and even killed. If those who consider themselves on the right realised that not only is Connolly bunk, but a lot of the stories over the last 30+ years were also lies, they might realise that they have much more in common with those 'on the left' than they do with the scumbags who control the narratives for cynical reasons like selling cctv cameras, increasing government powers, stopping people standing together at football matches etc.
The state isn't a homogenous entity, but a lot of the characters in this weird morality play seem to have ties to the police, who are the foot soldiers of the bourgeoisie and the intel services. I think you represent a very rare voice, one who considers himself on the right but is also prepared to question right wing narratives, so they have to present you as a paranoid conspiracy theorist. It's a kind of 'flood the zone' tactic, such that anyone who Googles your name is likely to find a load of stuff about how crazy you are, and they won't know that it's all disinformation.
Sorry, that was a very long answer to your question.
Thank you for the considered reply. One important omission you made is that the effort to discredit me ramped up when I questioned Bob Moran’s relationship with Ed the Techie.
Yes, and that's because I think Bob's tribute to Ed was intended specifically to provoke you into questioning it, which then gave all the ancillary characters their reason to pile on you for being 'insensitive'. It wasn't a high-profile story in itself - how many people would even have heard of Ed the Techie before that? Hardly any, but you knew who he was because of his alleged relationship with Lucy Connolly.
I think this is why Bob has not and WILL NOT answer your simple question of 'why the tribute to Ed?'. The whole point of it was to have the effect on you that it had, to keep you guessing, keep you distracted, and maybe drive you a bit crazy.
I might be going off the reservation a bit with my conspiracy theory, but slimy John Mappin describes himself on twitter as a 'game maker'. He seems to be friendly with Bob, and Bob even gave Mappin a painting a while back, so maybe this is one of his 'games'
In my opinion it was a mistake. They didn't think anybody would pick up on it and don't know how to react now that someone has. It's a thread that reveals too much to risk someone pulling on it.
How do you think it was a mistake though? One doesn't accidentally paint a cryptic tribute to an Internet troll and then refuse to explain oneself! You said yourself at the time that none of it makes sense, and as best I can tell, neither Bob nor anyone in his inner circle has answered any of your questions or given you a plausible explanation
I agree with Trevor, ignoring it does make it go away... Or put it another way, never knowingly having the knowledge it existed makes it irrelevant. When you stop engaging with the "news" you realise none of it actually exists until people give it air time in your space!
This is very true Francis. One of my friends is always quick to tell me he doesn’t watch or listen to any news but he willingly had the Covid jabs (and suffered side effects) plus takes statins because the doctor told him ‘they’ll keep his arteries clear’. Completely ignoring the government & media is not a recommended long term strategy. There has to be an awareness of ‘the system’.
The UK Column of Brian Gerrish and Mike Robinson - long before Malet moved in - is now dead for me. I learnt much from Brian and Mike for which I am grateful. It is difficult for me to think of them as acting insincerely during the formative stage of UK Column. It may be that their ambition to expand UK Column has been their undoing, control having passed to the new investors and their side-kicks. Possibly, Brian and Mike are now merely vestiges of UK Column's glorious past. Certainly, human beings do change over time and it is best not to trust anyone too much. The only power that endures is the Power of the Creator, the One, the First and the Last.
That's possible. If so, Brian and Mike were very good actors. What is going on around us is having the effect of suppressing/killing off the beautiful and noble instinct of trusting our fellow human beings. Perhaps destruction of our essential humanity - destroying our unity in the process - is necessary for the establishment of a NWO/One World Government?
Agree. Listening to the two Jerm and Jake podcasts I do not recognise any of the original UKC values or standards or news worthiness that first caught and held my attention and trust (from 2020). Nothing could be learned from the conversations, they are just basically ‘bitching’ about someone not in the room which wouldn’t even make sense to anyone not aware of the background so even more boring for them.
I think it’s a take down in the sense of infiltration and misdirection. There probably would have been a less disingenuous response at one time….although even then it might have just been a case of protecting their role and brand. The sinking into the mire now seems like a planned demoralisation tactic. Probably time to ignore these tools and focus on what lights you up. Joy, fun, laughter, gratitude and all that shiz. These clowns are beyond parody…although never say never 🤔
Generally speaking, agents of misdirection must first gain the trust of an audience. Once the audience has become attached and habits and loyalties formed, the misdirection can be more extreme. If misdirection is a media platform's raison d'etre then it is always present, starting less perceptibly before becoming more pronounced.
No of course not. I’m not advocating to ignore that nor it’s machinations, just self important tools like UKC who seem to be there to misdirect and demoralise
Absolutely Trevor John, it is easy to sink down and become defensive and negative. One thing I have learnt in the last six years - is be grateful for all the positive things in your life and tell your children how much you love them, every single day. If you give out nothing but positive vibes, it is very difficult for anyone to be negative towards you.
Events of the 2020s have demonstrated that an individual's positive vibes do not make one exempt from negativity. They showed that getting on with one's life is not possible if those around you are not.
I think the way you frame things and your state of mind is a choice. You can ask the question..is the realm working for you or against you. In many ways the last six years have been the most interesting, fulfilling and uplifting of my life. Just having a few of the veils pulled aside and dealing with some truths has been an amazing experience. Also to have what you’re up against come more sharply into focus has been motivating. The world has become a far more fascinating place
yes, I've had a similar journey. We were told right from the start in the Bible that this is a fallen world. And there is something thrilling in suddenly seeing some of their works. I think though there is also the danger of peering too far into the abyss. When I first became aware of the sheer evil of the covid scam, I went running back to my Catholic roots. I think this darkness is not something you want to or can take on on your own.
In a comment below you say you are now having to look after your deteriorating (jabbed?) mother whilst dealing with your "jab happy solicitor sister." That doesn't sound positive. I don't share the luciferian idea that we make something good or evil with our minds. Some things are not positive.
Haha thanks for the hillarious patronisingly blinkered mis framing of my stance. What would be your second act of rebellion? One of the most fascinating things l learned in the last six years is how impossible it is to change peoples mindset with facts. I had no idea about this. I’m right where the tyre meets the road here, looking after the deteriorating 93 year old mothership along with my sleeping jab happy Solicitor sister and brain surgeon cousin. Good luck with “Raising awareness” with them. I’ve tried and done nothing but damage
For someome who has liked UK Column content, although I wouldn't champion it, I've applauded it. This is so disappointing.
I suppose the question is, that law term fruit of the poisonous tree... Do we have to disregard everything? I have to admit, I've reached the point I don't care any more, if I can't have a beer and a chat with someone, then I put them in the distrust camp until proven otherwise :)
I agree that it is very disappointing and I'm left wondering why isn't UK Column also questioning the behaviour of their associates who are clearly trying to disparage Francis for looking into Bob Moran's curious connection with Ed the Techie. Clearly they don't want to open that can of worms and would prefer to silence anyone else raising concerns........which is odd for a supposed truth movement news outlet.
Do you mean do you have to disregard everything from UK Column? I think we have to be very aware that when we consume alternative media very often we don't know who it is that we are listening to, or whose work we are reading. Often we don't know their backgrounds, their funders, their motives, their omissions or their editorial biases. We have to be careful. Before lockdown the state prepared for the emergence of new dissidents and provided for them.
I think Mr Malet has done a lot of harm to UK Column by not taking your complaint seriously. This looks like extremely poor management/directorship skills on his part and a distinct lack of judgment. Did he honestly think his somewhat bullying and insulting reply to your message would put this matter to bed?
GB News was always what it is now. It was set up as a catchment pen for the disaffected. Perhaps we can learn from that when considering other alternative media outlets.
We should. But they catch us out with our hope that *this time* it is real opposition when they start out not-so-blatantly-establishment like C4 or BBC etc.
Malet knows you’re right but has done a calculation vis-a-vis worst case scenario: ‘So what you gonna do about it, Francis?’ But in an Eton accent obvs
Hmm. I thought he had – and he certainly sounds like one – but now that you ask I'm wondering where I heard it. Wasn't through primary research of my own, so I could be wrong...
'there's a lot of people in the movement who may be awake, but their critical thinking aint that great'.
so presumably these poor sheep need to be guided by more informed people higher up the hierarchy like Jake.
That is quite an illuminating reveal by Jake of what he thinks of the people who are 'awake', and how they need to be guided.
And UK Column have elected to move not one inch in their backing of him. So the sides are becoming clearer, the battle lines are being joined.
As you've said Francis, we come back to the question which has still not been answered 'what is the nature of Bob's relationship with Ed the Techie'.
But for me, the even more pressing question is, why on earth BoB kicked this off in the first place with his unfunny from left field cartoon after months of not producing a thing. There's a whole network now that must be furious with him. they are having to defend him, but in doing that they are having to expose themselves.
Fern repeats several themes in his podcasts, one of his favourites being the criticism of people in the Truth Movement that you mention. He repeatedly he accuses them (us) of a lack of discernment, critical thinking and a failure to do 'the inner work,' (whatever that is).
It is patronising and places himself as an arbiter of truth, with occasional minor lip service to the notion of possible fallibility.
Fern's comments on UK Column with Jeremy Nell form part of broader series of comments in which he accuses me of being paranoid and mentally ill. As you say UK Column have chosen to ignore this and to back him.
I get the concept and appreciate the value of inner work, it’s just that they don’t display much evidence of it…boasting about it would be a massive red flag
Why are they “having to” defend him? They don’t have to, but have, for some reason chosen to appoint themselves in this role, and have outed themselves in the process.
Why would Nell and Jake take it upon themselves to be backing BOB up though. It’s odd. What’s the connection? Maybe they are all benefiting from the same investor
I think it's fair to wonder if all of this, from Bob's tribute to Ed, to the responses to your scepticism, to Jake and Jerm, and now Charles Malet (recent guest on the Delingpod), is only intended to waste your time and demoralise you. I mean that you have to have awareness. We can only avoid the truth for so long before it bites us in the bum, or pricks us in our shoulder.
This is very true Francis. UKC are doing a ‘Miller Lite’ on themselves
Yes that’s true. There’s nothing positive going on there. From their fruits shall you know them
"it is the “nonsense” which is being described as paranoid. You are not..."
The answer is insincere, evasive and lame. He is not...
Is it part of a deliberate take-down of UK effing Column?
If it was they might have acted on my complaint.
I think it’s a take down in the sense of infiltration and misdirection. Ignoring a problem does not make it go away.
Ignoring a problem does make it go away if it’s fuel is your attention. Like a two year old having a tantrum
If it's an economic slave system or a digital prison it doesn't go away.
No of course not. I’m not advocating to ignore that nor it’s machinations, just self important tools like UKC who seem to be there to misdirect and demoralise

Bring on 2030 😂

100% that :) a major part of their scam is to demoralise. Being joyful and creative is the most effective act of rebellion
Painting rainbows and putting them in our windows is not an act of rebellion. Raising awareness is the first act of rebellion.
Haha thanks for the hillarious patronisingly blinkered mis framing of my stance. What would be your second act of rebellion? Even if he genuinely thinks I am wrong, he has adopted a strangely confrontational tone for someone representing a public facing institution.
Yes, his tone is uppity and contemptuous. Snobby. A far cry from David Scott. Remember him? He was a thoroughly nice bloke.
If they were serious people, and interested in truth and just human questioning... Why not organise a round table discussion?
If he genuinely thinks I am wrong there is no need for a round table discussion, but a more conciliatory approach would be more professional.
What a disingenuous response. Don’t believe your lying [ears], Francis.
UK Column was a beacon like GB News started out as. But it doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.
GB News was always what it is now. It was set up as a catchment pen for the disaffected. Perhaps we can learn from that when considering other alternative media outlets.

Hmm. I thought he had – and he certainly sounds like one – but now that you ask I'm wondering where I heard it. Wasn't through primary research of my own, so I could be wrong...
I don't think he was expecting to receive such a detailed, accurate and absolutely truthful response from you Francis.
I think he severely underestimated your ability to backup all your questions with the specific information.
The lack of response, before you nudged him shows he had no answers and his word salad response was telling.
Brilliant work as always.
Thank you. His responses could certainly be interpreted as being part of a closing of ranks.
Word salad Mr. Malet??
For people who claim to deal in truth, they seem to have little grasp of it
'there's a lot of people in the movement who may be awake, but their critical thinking aint that great'.

The question of BoB's cartoon remains a mystery.
'doing the inner work' that's classic new age mumbo jumbo.
I get the concept and appreciate the value of inner work, it’s just that they don’t display much evidence of it…boasting about it would be a massive red flag
Why are they “having to” defend him? They don’t have to, but have, for some reason chosen to appoint themselves in this role, and have outed themselves in the process.
I think that's one of their key roles, back each other up.
Why would Nell and Jake take it upon themselves to be backing BOB up though. It’s odd. What’s the connection? Maybe they are all benefiting from the same investor
I think the connection is UK Column. The see an attack on one as potentially leaking towards them. they were so defensive.
BOB isn’t officially employed by UKC (although he seems to have sold work to the same investor)
2+2=5
