On February 5th “2021 Dr Aseem Malhotra appeared with film director Gurinder Chadha on the ITV show Good Morning Britain (GMB) to speak on the subject of covid-19 vaccinations. The pair reassured the public of the safety of the injections and encouraged people to take them. By the end of the year, Malhotra was having misgivings. He began what he describes as “nine months” of work on a paper calling for “a pause and reappraisal of vaccination policies for COVID-19” that was eventually published on 26th September 2022. He introduced the paper saying “It’s perhaps the most important work of my career so far and it has implications for every human being on the planet.” By this time many people had taken all the shots that they were going to.
Malhotra is viewed with suspicion by some of those who warned of the dangers of the covid injections from the commencement of their roll-out. He is regarded as a self-professed hero for shutting a door to a stable that no longer contains a horse. Much of this suspicion stems from Malhotra's appearance on Good Morning Britain and so that interview bears the closer scrutiny that follows.
In the early part of 2021 the UK government perceived some problems with the public uptake of its novel injections. Demographic groups that were considered 'hesitant' were targeted using some of the near £1 billion that the government spent on advertising between 2019 and 2021. Malhotra and Gurinder Chadha were recruited by ITV to address what the on screen news ticker described as “BAME (Black Asian and Minority Ethnic) vaccine hesitancy.” These words accompanied the alternating lines that “Sage blames 'institutional racism in medical industry' for BAME vaccine hesitancy,” that “72% of black people unlikely to have the jab, UK survey finds,” and that “Pakistani, Bangladeshi and East European groups (are) also unwilling to take the jab.”
Setting aside the fact that BAME is a clumsy categorisation of a variety of cultural backgrounds into one demographic, the GMB segment was part of a wider effort to propagandise this audience. This effort included the fact that “Black MPs from across the parties have joined together in a video encouraging people to get the coronavirus vaccine,” as reported by the BBC on 28th January 2021.
On 25th January, actor Adil Ray published “a message we have recorded for members of our Ethnic Minority communities.” This piece featured numerous British Asian celebrities urging people to take the shots if they wished to 'save a life,' and made a series of questionable claims about the novel and unlicensed injections. These included attestations for the safety, efficacy, and testing of the shots, and the presentation of the injections as the only means of returning to normality. The celebrities finished by informing the viewer of their family members who had already taken the shot (which was first administered to the elderly and medics), and of their impatience to receive their own. When questioned, Adil Ray insisted this venture was independent of government and presented it as a voluntary undertaking.
The injection promotion continued with Malhotra and Chadha's February 5th GMB appearance, which was followed on 30th March 2021 by Sir Lenny Henry leading a video “letter to loved ones,” that featured prominent black people encouraging the public to take the covid shots.
On the GMB show Malhotra said the following:
“So Charlotte, I think you've raised some really important points there. So I think the first thing to say is we need to understand where this vaccine hesitancy is coming from and when I spoke to Gurinder I went through all of this. So the first thing is there is some irrational -clearly irrational- reasoning behind why people don't want to take the vaccine which is based upon very blatant false information that's circulating on social media.”
The main reason that many people did not want the shots was not irrational. Even from within the covid narrative most people's health was not under any threat. On the other hand the injections had no long-term safety data, and some of the pharmaceutical companies involved were convicted fraudsters who had been given immunity from any damages that the shots may cause. Malhotra did not address these rational concerns in his TV interview.
“so as you mentioned already uh you know things like there's alcohol and there's you know pork within the vaccine.”
There may not have been pork or alcohol in the vaccines but according to the UK government website the AstraZeneca formula contained “chimpanzee adenovirus vector” and was “produced in genetically modified human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells.” The shots also contained novel mRNA technology.
“or you know I've had many uh you know female friends of childbearing age who've been concerned about affecting fertility and there is no suggestion or evidence that that is even potentially possible.”
No evidence that is even potentially possible? That is a strange and even misleading way to put it. Whether or not there was yet evidence that it had occurred, it was potentially possible. The evidence that it was potentially possible was the fact that this was a new drug that was not trialled on pregnant women. There was certainly no evidence that an effect on fertility was not potentially possible. For the Pfizer vaccine the government initially worded its information on fertility as follows:
“There are no or limited amount of data from the use of COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine BNT162b2. Animal reproductive toxicity studies have not been completed. COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine BNT162b2 is not recommended during pregnancy.
For women of childbearing age, pregnancy should be excluded before vaccination. In addition women of child-bearing age should be advised to avoid pregnancy for at least 2 months after their second dose.”
On fertility, the government warned “It is unknown whether COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine BNT162b2 has an impact on fertility.”
Had the doctor not read this before dispensing advice to the nation?
Malhotra continued, “but there are also rational concerns, Charlotte, and this -we need to understand these so that we can actually move forward in a better way. And when I say rational concerns we have a big crisis in the lack of trust in medical research which has been going back over several years. In 2017 The Academy of Medical Sciences produced a report where they concluded -there was startling results- when they looked at both General Practitioners and the members of the general public, four out of five GPS and two-thirds of members of the public did not trust Drug Company sponsored research...and the reason behind that actually does have some merit,
That there is some merit in being wary of research sponsored by drugs companies into their own products, seems to be an understatement.
“ and that is the fact that right now even our Healthcare crisis has been fuelled in my view by two major problems. We have too much medicine.”
And yet in this interview the doctor is advocating more unnecessary medicine.
“So you know one estimate suggests in general, Charlotte, you know, prescribed medications are now the third most common cause of death globally after heart disease and cancer because of side effects...”
These could also be termed 'direct effects,' in that the medications were the cause and the deaths were the effects. Here Malhotra is describing the high number of fatal effects from medications for which years of testing had been carried out. In the same discourse he is advocating that the public take novel injections for which there was no long term safety data and for which Phase 3 trials were incomplete.
“and at the same time we haven't addressed lifestyle. So these are the root of why we've got this Healthcare crisis in the first place and what we really need is to restore that trust. Now when it comes to that conversation with Gurinder that I had, I said, 'listen I understand what's going on. I understand why people have these fears, and they are legitimate fears, but when you look at all the drugs combined,' and that's what I do I'm an independent, you know, I research independently. I don't have any links to the drug industry. 'When you look at all the drugs out there that people are taking, vaccines by far are the safest.'”
What a coup for the vaccine agenda that an independent researcher, an eminent doctor, an advocate of lifestyle and dietary health, and a self-proclaimed sceptic of pharmaceutical medicines, who is of Indian ethnicity, should advocate for Big Pharma's indemnified and experimental products on national television.
The notion that general schedule vaccines are the safest of drugs is questionable given that a 2010 Harvard study recorded that only 1% of adverse events are reported. There is a reluctance among medics to attribute negative effects to vaccines. Potential delayed effects such as chronic conditions are rarely connected to vaccines. Billions of dollars have been paid out to compensate for the damages caused by these products.
When seen in the context of Gurinder Chadha's contribution to the GMB interview, Malhotra's appearance appears more like part of an advertisement for the covid injections. Chadha began,
“After doing some research and talking to Dr. Aseem,
The viewer is reminded that Chadha's opinion is backed by authority.
you have to understand the context of vaccines,”
This is correct. You do.
“and vaccines have saved millions of lives over the years”
Robert F Kennedy jr writes in his book The Real Anthony Fauci that, “Most Americans accept this claim as dogma. It will therefore come as a surprise to learn that it is simply untrue. Science actually gives the honor of having vanquished infectious disease mortalities to nutrition and sanitation. A comprehensive study of this foundational assertion published in 2000 in the high-gravitas journal Pediatrics by CDC and Johns Hopkins scientists concluded, after reviewing a century of medical data, that “vaccination does not account for the impressive decline in mortality from infectious diseases . . . in the 20th century.”47 As noted earlier, another widely cited study, McKinlay and McKinlay—required reading in virtually every American medical school during the 1970s—found that all medical interventions including vaccines, surgeries, and antibiotics accounted for less than about 1 percent—and no more than 3.5 percent—of the dramatic mortality declines. The McKinlays presciently warned that profiteers among the medical establishment would seek to claim credit for the mortality declines for vaccines in order to justify government mandates for those pharmaceutical products.”
“and when they were first invented they were an amazing medical breakthrough,”
In Dissolving Illusions, Suzanne Humphries M.D and Roman Bystrianyk report
“When Jenner published his paper in 1798 claiming lifelong immunity to smallpox and promoting his technique, many doctors who had seen smallpox follow cowpox challenged his doctrine at a meeting of the Medico-Convivial Society.
But he [Jenner] no sooner mentioned it than they laughed at it. The cow doctors could have told him of hundreds of cases where smallpox had followed cow-pox”
“and if we look at the science the pure science,”
As opposed to the impure science? Or as opposed to the associated barrage of propaganda? What is this science to which she refers? It is left vague and unclarified, but looking at the science is what she and Malhotra should have done prior to appearing in front of a national audience to push drugs.
“I think that gave me a lot of assurance and that's why in the end I have to do it. Everyone has to do it.”
The reason for her appearance on television is precisely because everyone did not have to do it. They had to be coerced.
“That's the only way we're going to beat this covid”
The UK's Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty had informed people on April 30th 2020 “the great majority of people, even the very highest risk groups, if they catch this virus, will not die.” This was borne out by subsequent advice and data from numerous official bodies around the world including the NHS, ONS, CDC, and news organisations like the BBC.
“and I'd rather have the vaccine now in a controlled scientific medical environment, than be sitting in a hospital with all kinds of machines on me, trying to fight for my life.”
This a false dichotomy. These were not the only two available options. As Chris Whitty had said, “even with no vaccine a high proportion will not get it. Of those who do, a significant proportion have no symptoms. Of the symptomatic cases, the great majority (around 80%) will have a mild to moderate disease.” One would have thought Gurinder Chadha might have been aware of this sliding scale given that whole nations donned masks in fear of alleged 'asymptomatics.'
The interview continued,
“Gurinder, I wonder as well, now you've had the vaccine how you feel about the fact you were so anxious and nervous about it in the first place?”
“Well I wasn't hugely nervous.”
So this could apply to everyone.
“I just didn't know enough actually, that's what it was.”
Most people didn't know enough. Gurinder is just like us.
“So I feel that now it's done, it's finished, I'm with lots of other people who are doing it.”
It's over for her. She's part of something. Don't be left out.
“And I do believe, I mean I do feel safe, funnily enough.”
She has peace of mind. Don't you want peace of mind?
“I mean, I've still got to keep social distancing,”
Why?
“still wear a mask,”
Those things are pointless unless the goal is to maintain a state of abnormality and fear.
“still very careful when I go out, if I go to the shops you know,”
This does not suggest great confidence in the vaccine. Does it work or doesn't it?
“but I think I do feel assured that we are collectively as a nation, you know, as a globe, going to beat this if we all get vaccinated,”
Join team humanity. We're all in this together.
“and by towards the end of the year I hope we will have seen the back of covid.”
Get injected to get your life back.
After Malhotra's contribution Gurinder spoke again,
“I think the uptake now is kind of like 50%. Ultimately it's up to each person and as Dr. Aseem says there are a lot of suspicions. There was a time when we would trust our doctors and go and do whatever they said but now there is a bit of concern about that,”
Should we now trust Dr. Aseem and go and do what he advises says after he has pointed out that doctors are the third biggest cause of death? No, we shouldn't, as it turned out.
“however since I've tweeted it I've had a lot of response. A lot of people have responded well particularly people in the medical profession. Also my family on Whatsapp.”
Doctors approve of the message to trust their profession. You'll be popular with your family if you take the shot.
“So I think it's about having the debate. I think the fact that I did it, Adil's video as well.”
What debate? These were one-sided presentations of largely false information.
“I think you know that's created a lot of debate and I think what we've done is given some assurance, and if we can give some assurance to some people -one person, that's great”
This is emotional assurance because it is not possible to provide any other kind of assurance when there is no long term data.
“because, you know, it is a numbers game,”
Is that how vaccines are supposed to work? Prior to 2020 when people took a shot before travelling somewhere did they worry about the local population having that shot?
“we all have to get there to do it so that we are all safe”
Even if you paid attention to the government the vast majority of people already were safe -except from propaganda.
“and if only half of us are doing it I think it will take longer to beat the vaccine and for us to get back to life as normal.”
It is likely that here she means virus and not vaccine. Again the injection is held up as an incentive to escape government restrictions. This is coercion.
The first point of the Nuremberg Code informs us that the subject of a medical procedure,
“should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion.”
Article 6 of the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights states that
“1. Any preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic medical intervention is only to be carried out with the prior, free and informed consent of the person concerned, based on adequate information. The consent should, where appropriate, be express and may be withdrawn by the person concerned at any time and for any reason without disadvantage or prejudice.”
It is hard to see how the TV segment under discussion could have served any better as coercive pro-vaccination propaganda had it been scripted by the government. Malhotra was credited as the source of much of the information presented. During the course of the interview he did not correct any of it.
In just your quoted excerpts "you know" is repeated 11 times, whereas you managed your entire article without telling me 'I know' once.
That carries psychological weight.
